Il progetto VFR ESTREMO è nato per realizzare con il miglior rapporto costi/benefici , un simulatore di volo professionale per il settore del VDS e per l’apprendimento della navigazione VFR anche da piccoli campi di volo spesso non segnalati. Il progetto VFR ESTREMO, ha anche lo scopo di permettere la rievocazione storica di aeroporti e contesti ormai scomparsi e la sperimentazione in prima bozza di nuovi prototipi di aerei leggeri ad alte prestazioni.

The VFR EXTREME project was created to create, with the best cost / benefit ratio, a professional flight simulator for the VDS sector and for learning VFR navigation even from small, often unmarked airfields. The VFR EXTREME project also aims to allow the historical re-enactment of airports and contexts that have now disappeared and the experimentation in the first draft of new prototypes of high-performance light aircraft.
Alcuni tipi di volo hanno bisogno per essere efficacemente simulati, di dettagli di riconoscimento ottico del terreno superiori a quelle del normale Volo a vista (VFR).
Un esempio di questo, è il volo che si fa con alcuni tipi di ultraleggeri, quali deltaplani a motore o velivoli minimali o anche con i paramotore.
Some types of flight need to be effectively simulated, optical ground recognition details superior to those of normal Visual Flight (VFR).
An example of this is the flight that is done with some types of ultralights, such as motorized hang gliders or minimal aircraft or even with paramotors.
In questi casi spesso si decolla da campi privati, occasionali, temporanei o comunque indistinguibili da un normale campo coltivato. Queste “piste” non hanno spesso ne cinesini ne manica a vento e tanto meno segnaletica; e quindi l’unico modo di riconoscerle in un qualunque simulatore di volo, è avere un dettaglio del territorio talmente alto, da poterle appunto riconoscere solo dai particolari dei dintorni (alberi in una data posizione , linee elettriche, particolari costruzioni nelle vicinanze). Chiaramente queste, nella realtà, sono parte integrante del territorio e spesso richiedono un occhio allenato per essere individuate.
In these cases, we often take off from private, occasional, temporary or otherwise indistinguishable fields from a normal cultivated field. These “slopes” often have neither Chinese nor windsock and much less signage; and therefore the only way to recognize them in any flight simulator is to have such a high detail of the territory that you can recognize them only from the details of the surroundings (trees in a given position, power lines, particular buildings nearby). Clearly these, in reality, are an integral part of the territory and often require a trained eye to be identified.
Esattamente per questo è nato il progetto “VFR estremo”; per permettere anche a tutto il mondo del Volo Da diporto e Sportivo (noto come VDS) di usufruire delle straordinarie capacità che oggi la moderna tecnologia della simulazione di volo ci mette a disposizione. Con il Simulatore “VFR estremo” il pilota VDS può efficacemente allenarsi nella navigazione, che poi compirà con l’aereo reale. Anche le emergenze e gli assetti inusuali sono un settore in cui il simulatore VFR estremo può dare un grande aiuto ad allenare il pilota , senza i rischi legati alle reali simulazioni di emergenza. Insomma l’intento è di creare per il mondo VDS che conta oggi in Italia circa 13.000 mezzi volanti immatricolati, Qualcosa che si avvicini ai simulatori utilizzati dalle compagnie aeree o dall’aeronautica militare ma a costi molto piu contenuti.
This is exactly why the “extreme VFR” project was born; to allow the whole world of Pleasure and Sports Flight (known as VDS) to take advantage of the extraordinary capabilities that modern flight simulation technology makes available to us today.
With the “Extreme VFR” simulator the VDS pilot can effectively train in navigation, which he will then perform with the real plane. Even emergencies and unusual settings are an area in which the extreme VFR simulator can give a great help in training the pilot, without the risks associated with real emergency simulations. In short, the intent is to create for the VDS world, which today has about 13,000 registered flying vehicles in Italy, something that comes close to the simulators used by airlines or the military air force but at much lower costs.
